Care Delivered at Avondale House
Avondale House is a specialist mental health residential care service providing person-centred support for adults living with enduring mental health conditions. Our aim is to promote recovery, independence, wellbeing, and social inclusion within a safe, therapeutic, and homely environment.
We deliver high-quality care tailored to each individual's needs, strengths, aspirations, and recovery goals. Our experienced staff team works closely with residents, families, mental health professionals, and community services to provide consistent and coordinated support.
Our care includes:
Support with managing mental health conditions and maintaining emotional wellbeing.
Assistance with medication administration and monitoring in partnership with mental health services.
Development of daily living skills, including personal care, cooking, budgeting, and household management.
Encouragement to engage in meaningful activities, education, volunteering, and employment opportunities where appropriate.
Support to access healthcare services, including GP appointments, community mental health teams, and specialist services.
Promotion of social inclusion through community engagement, recreational activities, and maintaining family relationships.
Positive behaviour support and crisis prevention through understanding individual triggers, strengths, and coping strategies.
Recovery-focused care planning that empowers individuals to make choices, develop independence, and achieve personal goals.
