About Us
Anglebury Court is a registered residential home situated in the heart of Wareham in Dorset. The home is approximately five minutes’ walk from the town centre and a 10-minute walk to the pretty riverside and quay. There are a variety of shops and services in the town centre such as supermarkets, butchers, bakers, newsagents, banks, solicitors etc. In recent years Wareham has become known as the ‘Gateway to the Jurassic Coast’.
Anglebury Court offers ground floor accommodation to 32 clients, in four and eight bed units. Each unit has its own dining, lounge and kitchen areas and there are various smaller seating areas located throughout the building. All bedrooms are single occupancy with en-suite facilities. Throughout the home there is a range of assisted bathrooms and toilets. Residents and their families and visitors enjoy level access to a large, secure courtyard garden, with ample seating.
Registered care categories at Anglebury Court include dementia, mental health conditions, old age, physical disability, sensory impairment and younger adults.
The home has Care Quality Commission (CQC) ratings of ‘good’ for all performance areas – caring, effective, responsive, safe and well-led. In its latest inspection in October 2019, the CQC found: “People told us they were happy and felt safe at Anglebury Court. Relatives said that staff had a good understanding of their loved ones’ needs and preferences. The atmosphere of the home was relaxed and engaging. Staff listened to what people wanted and acted quickly to support them.”
