Westhope Lodge in situated off the Public Park in the town centre of the historical market town of Horsham, West Sussex. Horsham offers a wide range of interesting and accessible amenities.
Westhope Lodge has 9 large bedrooms all with en-suite wet rooms. There are also communal areas including kitchen, dining room, lounge, activity room The service is based in the heart of the community, where it is excellent for introducing independence to the people we support. Westhope Lodge has many positive links in the community including health services, local hairdressers, and opportunities for the people we support to do what they love.
The service offers a variety of supportive pathways, personalised to suit each person’s specific needs. We are focused on the strengths, interests, and dreams of each person we support.

The home has a large lounge and dining room along with a fully fitted kitchen. In addition, Westhope Lodge has a separate disabled bathroom equipped with specialist high/low bath with sensory equipment and is available for the everyone supported at Westhope Lodge to use when they wish.

Westhope Lodge fosters an atmosphere of care and support. Our aim is to provide a home, which offers a safe, comfortable environment, which supports and encourages Service User’s to fulfil their potential within an individual person-centred plan.

All Service Users can participate in a full comprehensive activity programme, which is tailored around their individual needs, hobbies, interests, likes and dislikes.

Service User’s are consulted individually in relation to their interests and wishes regarding social activities as part of the Service User Planning Process and at regular Service User’s meetings.
We are committed to providing quality services for Service User’s by caring, competent staff. Full training is given to all staff including NVQ/QCF. Training is on going and monitored to ensure that all relevant resources are offered and is effective.

We provide services based upon consultation and assessment of the Service User’s needs. This will be achieved by effective care planning system, ensuring that assessments are made which balances risks and needs, promoting a level of responsible risk-taking in daily living activity and staff meetings, service user meetings and listening to others with an interest in the home.

We involve Service User’s in the planning and review of the services that are provided for them to ensure that their needs are met. By enabling and empowering them to influence, the services provided in the home, this gives each Service User a real say in how services are delivered, and they become involved in all decisions, which are likely to affect them.

We consult people about their satisfaction with the service and suggestions for improvement by, Service User’s consultation and satisfaction surveys; Service User has and staff meetings, management review of our quality management system.

Menus are planned weekly and are chosen by the Service User’s. The menu is flexible towards likes, dislikes, and considers dietary and cultural needs. Mealtimes are flexible, planned in accordance with activities and individual requirements.

Staff are always on duty to plan and supervise Service User’s care, always ensuring the highest standards. We aim to use community healthcare facilities and outside professionals. We will implement, monitor, and continually evaluate comprehensive care plans for everyone. We will maintain that dignity and privacy are respected when delivering personal care and assisting in any health care needs. We will implement a safe system for dispensing and deal with medication.

We focus on person-centred planning for the people we support to ensure they receive the appropriate support. We provide an atmosphere that will improve the quality of their lives and helping them to fulfil their potential. Person-centred planning is regularly monitored to include any changes that can enhance their health and enjoyment.
