About Us
Bletchingley is a nursing home in the area of Haywards Heath, which can accommodate just over 56 residents - it has a 'Good' rating from the CQC. Care can be provided for those with dementia. Bletchingley also offers the following short stay services; respite care, reablement support and discharge to assess.
Bletchingley/Wellington is a privately-owned care home, within easy reach of Haywards Heath town centre and railway station.
Bletchingley is a two-storey purpose-built building which opened in 2017.
Wellington is a renovated three storey building which was registered by the Care Quality Commission in May 2021. The home is suitable for a wide range of people including those who use wheelchairs or have limited mobility.
Wellington is a separate house but on the advice of the Care Quality Commission is registered as part of Bletchingley registration as it is within the same curtilage as that home and shares the same address and postcode. The maximum occupancy at Wellington is for thirty people and as Bletchingley can accommodate twenty-six people, our certificate records fifty-six people.
Both homes are run as separate units with its own records and staff teams.
Bedrooms
Rooms are primarily single occupancy, but each building has a small number of rooms which can b used for people who choose to share. This gives us scope to provide a service to couples.
All bedrooms have an en-suite wet room shower and a television with a wifi system to enable residents to retain as much independence as they wish.
Rooms have a wifi call system making it easier for a person to summon assistance.
Lounges
Some rooms on the ground floor in both buildings lead directly into the garden which is secure and enables residents to have a good degree of freedom and personal space.
There is a lounge/dining room on each floor which both have a television. A lift is available to provide residents with access to all rooms.
One room in Wellington has a small kitchenette and shower room nearby making it ideal for a person who wishes to have more independence and can undertake small domestic tasks for themselves.
We aim to enable people to continue living as independently as possible by providing nursing care and support consistent with people’s needs and wishes.
The policy is to provide a secure, relaxed and homely environment in which care, well-being and comfort are of prime importance.
We value every individual who comes to live here and assure users of the service that they will be treated with respect and dignity according to individual needs and wishes.
The home is part of a group of three homes and some activities may be shared enabling residents to form friendships with a wider circle of people.
