Castlewood by Wrightcare – Information Overview
Castlewood is a brand-new, purpose-built residential care home located on Higher Standen Drive in Clitheroe. Developed and operated by Wrightcare, part of the Eric Wright Group, the home opened in late 2025 and has been designed to offer a modern, comfortable and community-focused environment for older adults.
Accommodation & Living Spaces
Castlewood offers 68 spacious, en-suite bedrooms, arranged over two floors. The home is divided into smaller “neighbourhoods” or wings, each containing around 17 bedrooms along with its own lounge and dining area.
This layout promotes community and familiarity while giving residents privacy and independence.
Rooms are bright, modern and thoughtfully designed. Many have full-height windows with views over the landscaped grounds, and ground-floor rooms benefit from direct access to private outdoor patios or gardens.
