Overview
Situated to the north of Chippenham town centre, adjacent to the golf club and surrounded by open green spaces, Cepen Lodge is a warm and inviting care home close to local amenities. We provide high quality residential, dementia and respite support to older people in an unrivalled setting, with a focus on person-centred care.
From the moment you set foot in our beautiful reception area, you’ll feel welcome and relaxed. Visitors are always offered tea or coffee and some freshly baked cakes.
The home is set across three floors, with communal dining rooms, lounges, and quiet spaces spread out across the building. There is also an accessible garden with paved areas for walking with ease, and there is also a large seating area with a pagoda covered in fresh flowers—perfect for outdoor socialising.
A real home has as much personality as the people who live there. That’s why we’ve made Cepen Lodge Care Home a place you’d be proud of and happy to live in—just as you would your own home.
Residential Care
Our luxurious and comfortable facilities are combined with highly trained staff to ensure that each and every individual is given superior attention. Our 24-hour care is provided in a warm and welcoming environment, with delicious meals and daily activities, including a choice of therapeutic approaches.
Activities are key to the residents wellbeing and as such we believe in providing a wide range of daily activities to ensure our residents are engaged, active and celebrating life here at Cepen Lodge. Whether a resident enjoys art, live music, gardening, flower arranging or trips out, it is all undertaken to ensure our resident’s time here is enjoyable and relaxing.
It is our philosophy that Cepen Lodge exists for the people we support, and life does not stop because the individual needs care.
Dementia Care
Cepen Lodge has a dedicated Memory Lane Community that provides a safe, homely environment for people living with dementia, which has been designed following these guidelines ensuring the care we provide supports residents’ freedom of choice. We aim to maintain their life-skills, improving their self-esteem and helping them to maintain and develop their independence while they are living with us.
Staff undertake specialist dementia care training developed by our team of Dementia Care Specialists and academic partners, the Centre for Dementia Research at Leeds Beckett University. Together they ensure our training programmes are informed by the very latest thinking. We ensure that the people we support feel comfortable and safe in their surrounding environment, helping ensure they live life with dementia to the full.
Choosing a care home for a loved one or friend who may be experiencing dementia can be difficult and we have created a guide to showcase how we ‘Enrich the lives of people living with dementia’ in our care home.
