Overview
Welcome to The Potteries.
The Potteries is a modern, purpose-built home care home near the seaside town of Poole in Dorset. Our dedicated team deliver a full range of care services for older people including residential, nursing and dementia care on a permanent and respite basis. We also offer compassionate end of life care.
Our bright and friendly care home offers an array of superb, newly refurbished facilities, including 22 refreshed rooms and a renovated Nursing Suite dining room. Residents can also enjoy a café, cinema room, hair and beauty salon, and even our very own pub – The Lockdown Arms.
The team at The Potteries gets to know each resident so they can provide the best possible person-centred care. They learn their life histories, likes and dislikes, and put together care and lifestyle plans that are tailored to their unique needs and interests. These support residents to live fun and fulfilling lives at The Potteries.
The Potteries hold many community led events where the local community join the residents aswell as working with local schools, children's nurseries and churches.
The mini bus trips take the residents to lots of lovely places such as Poole Quay, Sandbanks, Upton Country Park, Sculpture by the lakes, farms and seaside visits to name a few.
In 2021 we were first awarded with the Gold Standards Framework Care Homes Programme accreditation which demonstrates our skill and commitment to delivering high quality, person-centred care to residents at the end of their life. We are proud to have successfully completed the reaccreditation assessment in 2024 and have been awarded platinum status, recognising the sustained excellent practice within our home.
The Potteries is officially a ‘Veteran Friendly Framework’ accredited care home, recognising our best practice and highest standards of care for the Armed Forces community.
We pride ourselves on the transparency of our care quality and fee information - ensuring you can trust us to care from that very first step.
